OFR - Compliance Plans and Risk Registers
View scheduled dates
The SRA Code of Conduct 2011 adopts a risk based approach and no
longer serves as a prescribed set of rules that must be abided by.
The application and interpretation of these mandatory principles
and outcomes is subject to a degree of uncertainty.
The SRA advise that in order for them to assess the regulatory
risk a particular firm poses they need to receive information from
it about its own perception of the risks it faces, including
operational, strategic, business and financial risks, and to
understand the arrangements it is making to mitigate these risks.
As a matter of good risk-management practice they recommend that
firms periodically record this information by means of a risk
register and compliance plan.
We are therefore holding a half day training programme to
introduce you to OFR in practice, specifically focusing on
compliance plans and risk registers.
